Great News for the Conways!

Well, today I have to blog! It's a great day! Brenna has accepted a job at the University of Iowa and will be coming home to Iowa!! Hallelujah!! We've been hoping for this for so long, and it is finally going to happen. She and Izzy will be staying with us until Marc is done with his deployment on the USS Enterprise. Then they will start building their long-awaited house. Brenna is excited, but at the same time uneasy about her and Izzy, especially Izzy, having to spend so long without Marc. Izzy will miss her daddy. I have confidence that things will work out the way they are supposed to. Thank you, Lord, for answering our prayers.
I must mention the gorgeous weather we have been having for over a week now. It is just perfect, the kind of weather October is famous for! I have lots of tulip bulbs coming, and I wish I had them now while it's so nice. I did plant some pansies this week, which I have never done before. I hope they do well. The idea is that they will last through the winter and be lovely early next spring. We'll see!
Johnny making good progress with the corn, though the crop was nothing to write about, so I won't. We're grateful for what we have. He's ready to start on beans, but having a few issues with the combine. Hopefully he'll get going tomorrow. Colin came out today after school to be with him. It's such a treat to see his enthusiasm. He's a wonderful boy. He was also happy to see an old Fisher-Price dump truck (used to be Sean's) that I brought down from the closet. I've been saving it for many years, and decided I'd better get it out. It's time!
