Well, the dinner at church seemed to go well. The weather turned out beautiful, after a cloudy cool start. About the same number of people, I think. The auction brought in lots more money than we even hoped, though I haven't heard the final figures yet. Dwight Duwa bought our dinner for six, for $225, so we'll be hosting them, probably sometime in December. Should be fun! Happily, Johnny brought my two hours of weeding, for $60, so I can do it in my own garden!
When we got home, J took a nap and I started thinking about the garden I want to plant in the space south of the garage. I think I'm going to make it a moon garden. I mapped it out on graph paper, but the first thing I want to get done is install the light post for the fixture we've had on hand for several years. I plan on using the copper pipe we took out of the basement for it. Quite a change in station--from a sewer pipe to an elegant lamppost! I think I should get out there and start digging right about now....
